Sunday Morning 7AM-8AM
Beatle Brunch is hosted by renowned Beatle expert and radio veteran Joe Johnson.
Joe’s connection to The Beatles goes back to 1964, when living in Miami, he remembers The Beatles visit to South Florida to make a live appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show,” and all the mania surrounding their 8-day stay at The Deauville Hotel on Miami Beach. By the way, the stage at The Deauville still looks exactly the way it appeared on television back then.
Fast forward 28 years to 1992, the year Joe created Beatle Brunch, a weekly, 1-hour radio show full of hits and clips of The Beatles, on stage, back stage and in the studio.
Today, Joe Johnson is still a full blown Beatle fan, with a Beatles Studio in his home where he writes, produces and mixes the show each week. Beatle Brunch is full of personal interviews, including Joe’s recent conversations with Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Pete Best and many others.
Joe has appeared on CNN and “The Today Show,” and also contributed to several books on The Beatles and John Lennon. He has also been interviewed by dozens of radio stations and newspapers across the country.
Joe also dabbles in TV and stand-up comedy, and is married to Actress/Theater Professor Mariah. They have a daughter in college and 2 cats freeloading at home.
